How do I use my KitchenAid cast iron skillet on my induction cooktop?

Cast iron cookware is safe for use on all hobs, including induction. You can verify this by checking the symbol on the bottom of the cookware. Cookware equipped with innovative induction technology heats up very quickly on induction hobs. Be especially careful not to use high heat and never leave the cookware unattended.
The diameter of the bottom of the pan must be equal to the size of the burner. If the pan is too small, the element may not sense the pan and will not activate.

If using induction cooktops, make sure that the cooktop and cookware are free of debris to avoid scratching the surface.
Never shake or drag pans around the cooktop during cooking as this may cause scratches. Always lift the pan.
